Mary Sloan
Country Manager, Europe and Eurasia

Mary Sloan is the Country Manager for Europe and Eurasia. Ms. Sloan is responsible for business development, project preparation and evaluation, and supervision of USTDA activities in the region.

Prior to joining USTDA, Mary worked at the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Advocacy Center, supporting U.S. exporters bidding on foreign government procurements. In this role, she also served as the acting-Commercial Officer at U.S. Embassy Dhaka, Bangladesh and U.S. Embassy Algiers, Algeria. Prior to Commerce, Mary received a Boren Fellowship to conduct research on youth employability programs and then became an industry analysis training consultant and program support officer at the USAID Career Center in Morocco.

Mary holds a B.A. in International Studies from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and an M.A. in International Studies from North Carolina State University. She is proficient in French and Arabic.
