USTDA Connects Latin America and the Caribbean to U.S. Nuclear Energy Solutions

Arlington, VA â€“ The U.S. Trade and Development Agency will bring a delegation of energy decision makers from Colombia, Ecuador, El Salvador, Jamaica, and Paraguay to the United States to build partnerships in support of developing Latin American and Caribbean civil nuclear capabilities.

While in the United States from June 6 to 13, the 11-member delegation of public sector energy leaders will travel to Washington, DC, and Knoxville, TN, to meet U.S. companies and view demonstrations of U.S. advanced civil nuclear technologies, engage with U.S. government officials on regulatory environments and financing options, and discuss with U.S. industry representatives the role of the private sector in developing a conducive nuclear energy ecosystem. Delegates will also visit the Oak Ridge National Laboratory and tour facilities developing cutting-edge nuclear energy technologies.

USTDA will host a public business briefing in Washington on June 10, where U.S. companies can hear directly from the delegates about upcoming commercial prospects and engage one-on-one with them to showcase their nuclear energy technology solutions.
