Arlington, VA – The U.S. Trade and Development Agency (USTDA) will host a delegation of aviation security officials from eight emerging economies to showcase the latest technologies and industry practices to strengthen their aviation security infrastructure.

The 14-member delegation from Bangladesh, Brazil, Fiji, Maldives, Philippines, Samoa, Thailand, and Ukraine will travel to Las Vegas, Boston, and Washington, DC, from June 9 until June 22 to learn more about U.S. solutions and best practices for maintaining aviation security for the flying public. While in the United States, the delegation will see demonstrations of cutting-edge U.S. technologies through site visits and meetings with U.S. companies. USTDA has developed the program in close collaboration with the U.S. Transportation Security Administration (TSA), and the delegation will attend TSA’s International Training Symposium in Las Vegas.

USTDA will host a public business briefing in Washington, DC, on June 20 where U.S. companies can learn about upcoming commercial opportunities from the delegation and meet one-on-one with delegates to present their aviation security solutions. The reverse trade mission supports U.S. government priorities including the Partnership for Global Infrastructure and Investment, as well as USTDA’s U.S.-Brazil Aviation Partnership and U.S.-Southeast Asia and Pacific Aviation Cooperation Program.
