To support Türkiye’s gas sector development plans, USTDA funded a 2017 RTM to the United States to familiarize its industry leaders with U.S. technologies, services, and policy practices. The visit contributed to the streamlining of the country’s regulations for private companies to procure “spot” LNG, enabling the immediate or short-term delivery of LNG based on the latest market pricing. The RTM also led to new U.S. LNG exports to Türkiye.
