Maria Wimsatt
Program Evaluation Manager

Maria Wimsatt currently serves as the Program Evaluation Manager covering the Latin America and Caribbean and Sub-Saharan Africa regions as well as the Worldwide programs, including the Global Procurement Initiative (GPI). In this role, she manages the data collection and assessment of the U.S. export and economic growth impacts of USTDA’s funding commitments and advises program staff throughout the project life-cycle using evidence-based analysis. Ms. Wimsatt is a member of USTDA’s Energy sector team and leads the Electricity Transmission & Distribution sub-sector team to keep up with U.S. industry and trade policy developments.

Before joining USTDA’s M&E team as a program evaluation manager, she evaluated USTDA programs as a contractor for the Agency. Prior to working with USTDA, Ms. Wimsatt served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Madagascar supporting Community Economic Development. She holds a master of public policy degree from The George Washington University’s Trachtenberg School of Public Policy and Public Administration and a bachelor degree in marketing from the University of Louisville.
