Senior Country Manager, Indo-Pacific
Alissa Lee-Barden serves as the Senior Country Manager for the Indo-Pacific at the U.S. Trade and Development Agency (USTDA). In this role, Ms. Lee-Barden is responsible for business development, project preparation and evaluation, and project management of USTDA’s aviation and agribusiness portfolios in the Indo-Pacific. She also leads USTDA’s engagement with the U.S.-Southeast Asia and Pacific Aviation Cooperation Program, a public-private partnership that works with aviation stakeholders in Southeast Asia and the Pacific Islands to promote technical, policy, and commercial cooperation in civil aviation. In addition to her regional responsibilities, she is also co-lead of USTDA’s worldwide agribusiness team, which advises Agency staff on current trends and market opportunities.
Previously, Ms. Lee-Barden was the Senior Country Manager for East Asia and Country Manager for South Asia at USTDA, managing USTDA’s energy projects in the region. Prior to this role, Ms. Lee-Barden was a Research Analyst supporting the East Asia region at USTDA.
Ms. Lee-Barden holds a Master of Science in Modern Chinese Studies from the University of Oxford, and a Bachelor of Science in Foreign Service from Georgetown University. She is based in Chicago, IL.
