USTDA, in coordination with the American National Standards Institute and in partnership with Power Africa, is hosting a workshop in Kigali, Rwanda for public and private sector decision-makers in East Africa on key gaps in policy and regulation for the interconnection of grids in the East African Power Pool (EAPP).

 

The workshop will feature presentations from U.S. experts on energy system integration, as well as experts across the EAPP on opportunities and challenges for interconnection. Scheduled speakers include representatives from Rwanda Energy Group; Nexant; the Electric Reliability Council of Texas; Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories, Inc.; Eaton Corporation; the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers; Motorola Solutions, Inc.; and General Electric.
