The City of Cape Town, South Africa is committed to ensuring the safety and security of its residents. As such, the City has helicopters and unmanned aerial vehicles that are used for surveillance of events, for public protection, and for disaster response activities. The City is interested in solutions for using the camera feeds from aerial vehicles for real-time monitoring of on-the-ground events. The City of Cape Town has released a Request for Information (RFI) for private sector providers interested in the provision of equipment that will enable high-definition camera feeds to be downloaded from aerial vehicles and associated services.
U.S. firms must first register at https://www.capetown.gov.za/City-Connect/Register/Business-and-trade/Register-as-a-supplier before responding to the RFI. Following online supplier registration, firms can then submit a RFI.
