Sarah Tralins

Manager, Global Programs

Sarah Tralins is a Manager for Global Programs at the U.S. Trade and Development Agency. In this role, she is responsible for the implementation of the Agency’s Global Procurement Initiative: Understanding Best Value (GPI) in Latin America and the Caribbean. In this position, she coordinates with USTDA’s partner organizations, technical experts, and multilateral financial institutions to help bring best value in procurement to USTDA partner countries. In addition to her regional responsibilities, Ms. Tralins also serves on the Agency Committee, Due Diligence Committee, and the ICT Sector Committee.

Prior to joining USTDA, Ms. Tralins managed the Latin America portfolio at the Global Fairness Initiative in Washington, D.C., where she worked to create equitable and sustainable economic opportunities through workforce development, market access, and decent work initiatives.  Her previous professional experience includes work in the U.S. government and private sector, as well as a trade association.

A native of Miami, Florida, Ms. Tralins received a B.A. from Tufts University and M.A. from Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service, where she focused on Latin America and political economy. She is fluent in Spanish and Portuguese.
