John F. Krotzer has served as the Country Manager for the Indo-Pacific Region since joining the agency in August 2018. In this role, John is responsible for business development, project preparation and evaluation, and supervision of USTDA activities throughout South and Southeast Asia with a focus on the energy and surface transportation sectors. He also manages USTDA's standards programs in the region.
Prior to joining USTDA, John worked at the U.S. Department of State, where he held positions in economics and public affairs at U.S. missions in Indonesia, India, and China. Previously, he served as Director – Asia Pacific for a major U.S. power transmission manufacturer, and has over 15 years of management experience in the industrial sector, with assignments in China, France, and the United States. He began his career as a volunteer with the MBA Enterprise Corps in Poland, assisting that country’s post-communist economic transformation.
John holds a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, Indiana, and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the Amos Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hampshire.
