U.S.-ASEAN Smart Grid Reverse Trade Mission
Dates: April 25 – May 1, 2013
Locations: Washington, DC; San Francisco, CA
Under the framework of the U.S.-Asia-Pacific Comprehensive Energy Partnership, the U.S. Trade and Development Agency (USTDA) will bring a group of senior ASEAN utility representatives to the United States for a Reverse Trade Mission (RTM) from April 25 – May 1, 2013, to build on the key points from the U.S.-ASEAN Smart Grid Workshop held in Hanoi, Vietnam in November 2012. The RTM will be designed to assist delegates in identifying the appropriate technical and regulatory solutions to promote reliable, efficient, and cost-effective smart grid investments. The delegates will meet with leading U.S. technology and service suppliers as well as power utilities and U.S. energy and regulatory agencies.
There will be a Business Briefing on April 26, 2013 at the USTDA Business Center to give the ASEAN delegates an opportunity to present their current smart grid plans and projects to U.S. companies. Registration will open at 9:00 a.m. and the program will start at 9:30. Interested companies may sign up to meet with the delegates one-on-one for up to 20 minutes.
