ASEAN Connectivity through Rail Forum
Dates: September 18-20, 2013
Location: Jakarta, Indonesia
The U.S. Trade and Development Agency (USTDA) is sponsoring a conference from September 18-20, 2013, in Jakarta, Indonesia to promote the best practices and use of U.S. rail and transportation technologies in the Southeast Asian countries. This two-day conference will convene approximately 100-125 participants from U.S. rail and transport planning firms and Southeast Asian project sponsors, introducing the national transportation sector officials to the breadth of expertise that the U.S. offers and familiarizing U.S. firms with upcoming and planned rail sector projects. Representatives from U.S. companies providing equipment and services in the rail sector should attend to learn about upcoming opportunities in Southeast Asia and connect with senior decision makers.
This forum is being held in support of the ASEAN-U.S. Connectivity Cooperation Initiative that was announced during the ASEAN-U.S. Leaders Meeting in Bali in November 2011. It will provide an opportunity to demonstrate the potential role of the U.S. private sector in supporting rail sector planning, maintenance, and upgrade throughout ASEAN and to feature U.S. firms with expertise in these areas.
TERA International Group, in collaboration with the Business Council for International Understanding (BCIU), is organizing the forum on behalf of USTDA. For more information about participating as an attendee, speaker, or corporate sponsor, please contact Nina Kundra of BCIU at
