Clean Energy Exchange Program for the Americas Reverse Trade Mission Series - Mini-Hydroelectric

Dates: April 24–May 1, 2010

Locations: Washington, DC; other locations TBD

The goal of USTDA's Clean Energy Exchange Program for the Americas is to familiarize leading Latin American and Caribbean energy sector officials and project sponsors with U.S. clean energy technologies through a series of six Reverse Trade Missions (OVs) to the United States. Each Reverse Trade Mission will include meetings with U.S. industry, financial institutions and U.S. government agencies to exchange information with regard to the commercial, technological, regulatory, and financial aspects associated with clean energy project development. This Reverse Trade Mission series supports the Energy and Climate Partnership of the Americas that was announced by President Obama last year at the Summit of the Americas.

The second Reverse Trade Mission in this series is focusing on mini-hydroelectric power. While in the Washington, D.C area, the delegation will attend various meetings, conduct site visits, and attend the 2010 National Hydropower Association Annual Conference. A business briefing will be held for this Reverse Trade Mission.

USTDA is working with Koeppen, Elliott & Associates, Ltd. to organize this Reverse Trade Mission series. For more information, please contact David Elliott or Michael Koeppen of Koeppen, Elliott & Associates, Ltd. by e-mail at mak@kealtd.com or by phone at (202) 429-5245.
